Steve Sweeney is widely regarded as the "King of Boston Comedy," a title earned through more than four decades of making audiences laugh throughout New England and across the country. A pioneer of the legendary Boston comedy boom, Steve got his start alongside future stars such as Jay Leno, Steven Wright, Lenny Clarke, and Bobcat Goldthwait at the famed Ding Ho comedy scene in Cambridge.
Known for his masterful storytelling, spot-on character voices, and hilarious observations about Boston life and politics, Steve quickly became one of the first Boston comics to break into television.
