Friday, March 02 2018
VINCENT "Big Pussy" PASTORE is best known for his starring role on HBO's The Sopranos, and for being the first Captain to be whacked on the show.
A former bar owner from New Rochelle, New York, Vincent discovered acting late in life and since it has become his calling. A versatile actor, he has appeared on Broadway in the smash hit, "Chicago" as Amos Hart, Woody Allan’s “Bullets over Broadway” and in “Queen for a Day” with David Proval.  Having appeared in several movies including "Revolver", "Gotti", "This Thing of Ours", "Mickey Blue Eyes", "Mafia", "The Jerky Boys", "Made", "Two Family House" and "Hurricane" with Denzel Washington (to name a few). Vincent is also a familiar face on television. Besides playing the character, Big Pussy Bonpensiero, on "The Sopranos", Vincent has also made television appearances on NBC's "Ed", "The Practice", "Witness to the Mob", "Law & Order", the Soap Opera "One Life to Live", “General Hospital” "Americas Most Wanted", and "Vegas" and more recently Donald Trump's "Celebrity Apprentice" and “Shark Tank”.   Vinny has graciously dedicated his time to the Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer/Mitchell Berke Memorial Fund, Light of Day for Parkinsons Disease,  as well as benefits for World Hunger and the Connected Warriors, and will do anything for his fellow Sopranos Family. Each year, Vincent travels to Louisville, Kentucky to raise money for the policeman’s widows and orphans fund.  Recently, Vincent was given  a Congressional  honor for being one of the First Responders on 9/11, was Grand Marshall Columbus Day Parade Morris Park 2015, and he was honored as Celebrity of the Year by the Boys and Girls Towns of Italy in 2016. The Bronx Hall of Fame inducted Vinny and honored him by naming a Street after him and the New York Transit Authority named him Man of the Year, 2016.  In addition, the Westchester County Police “BLUE” organization, Steven Van Zandt’s Policeman’s Annual Ball, NJ Sheriffs Organization and the NYC PBA all have invited and honored Vinny as their special guest.

And, in his spare time, he performs with his band, “The Gangster Squad”.
